You took the topic of the Royal Wedding (Something that I absolutely detest how trending it is) and created one of the most beautiful RWBY pieces that doesn't involve Ruby and Weiss in their Combat attire. An absolutely golden choice on the dark colors of Weiss's dress. While not her usually grey and white, I think it was the best choice not to wash her complexion and hair out. Nice use of the shadows against the background to also make her lighter tones pop in the foreground. Seeing this I kind of wish to see a Yang and Blake as well. Stellar execution. It gives me the feeling that in their world this was a photo.

Love the piece, well put together and great colors. I am having one issue and it's likely with me and my visual interpretation skills. But the gloved hand between Ruby and Weiss, based on its position I think it's safe to say it is Weiss's hand, but it's in an odd spot/pose, unless she's arm in arm with Ruby and holding her close. But do to the pose and angle I can't be sure if that is the intent and/or reality of it. Anyone else?

Actually, if you look carefully,Β you see that Weiss has like long gloves that go above the elbow whereas the hand in the middle has a short glove with a slit like Ruby's. Looks like Ruby holding her purse if I had to guess.Β

You are for sure right about Weiss's gloves being opera cut and Ruby has split wrist cut gloves. That is a super weird way for her hand to be placed even with a full bend for carrying purse straps in the bend cradle. Possible though.

I have only one question: Why is Weiss wearing black on a wedding?

It's not all that uncommon actually. Only a bride is to where white in a western wedding. The dark colors play well with her very light skin and hair tones. Also it separates the occasion from her normal attire color choices of white, greys and pale blues, which again are in bad taste to wear to some one else's wedding.

Pretty sure that surrounding all the buzz about the wedding I heard some mention that wearing black to a royal engagement that isn't a funeral or Remembrance Day is supposed to be a no-no, though.Β Spice Girl #3 or whoever got ripped by all the commentators for wearing something so dark it was almost black.Β

Apparently there's a lot of conflicting fashion/etiquette on the topic. Some sources I'm fining saying it is a great way to not stand out and leave attention on the bride and maids. Others say it's in bad taste. So there's likely some regional/social class strata that's not readily apparent on the surface level that breaks it down in more detail.

I love how you take a topic that I literally give -237 shits about and create something absolutely beautiful from it. I think this is one of the most beautiful Renderings of Ruby and Weiss to date. Weiss does look a bit like she is going to a funeral but I think that her white and grey color scheme would have washed her out too much. Great choice.

Well, it's a royal wedding, and Blake's the closest thing we have to royalty. (Not counting her parents, who are of course already married.) So it's Blake and somebody. (Or maybe Blake and everybody.)
