They are! That's sadly another reason why some people don't adopt black cats or dogs at the shelter, just because they can't see their face and it somehow scares people :/ I volunteer at my local shelter so I know the truth of black cat and dog adoptions.

That's so weird. I find that the eyes of dark colored animals are actually more striking because of the contrast.
