Anne Boonchuys is 13-year-old Thai-American human girl that lives in Los Angeles. On her 13th birthday, Anne was forced to ditch school by Sasha and forced to steal the music box from the thrift store after it was discovered by Marcy that took them to the mystical and dangerous world of Amphibia, but what they didn't know that her best friend brought her and Sasha on purpose. She represents the blue gem of Heart on the Calamity Box.

While lost on a strange continent in the shape of a lily pad, Anne finds a new best friend, an enthusiastic young 10-year-old frog named Sprig Plantar. Later on, she was taken in for shelter by Sprig's little sister, Polly Plantar and his grandfather, Hop Pop. Together they start seeking adventures and exploring the secrets of the world of Amphibia as they try to uncover the mystery behind the Calamity Box and a way to get Anne back home, along with trying to find her two other friends who were transported with her.

Few days later after the girls recharge the music box, they return to the Newtopia so that King Andrias would send them home properly, but then Sasha betrayed and swipe the music box from Anne so that she can rule Newtopia along with the Toad Army. Anne was furious at her and ended her friendship. As the girls fought above the gate, Anne easily overpowered Sasha. After reclaiming the city, King Andrias revealed his true color when he explain his goal is to rule not just Amphibia, but all worlds by controlling the box and restore his entire Frog-Bot army.

Before the robots attack, Marcy intervene saying that no should get hurt, but King Andrias revealed her dark secret to Anne and Sasha. Both girls felt betrayed and heartbroken by their own friend. Anne and her friends turn against Andrias and fight against the Frog-Bots, but he overpowered them. The newt king drops Sprig out through the window leaving them all into tears, but Anne unleash her calamity power that glows blue feeling rage and overpowered Andrias.

It won't be long until she's exhausted from her power. Sprig returns and reunites with Anne after being saved by Marcy. As her best friend open the portal to lead Anne and the Plantars back home while Sasha holds him off, but by then when he stab Marcy, dropping the portal to transport them back home without a trace

Anne returns home alone with the Plantars in tow, but instead they ended up in a place called Toontown where all Toons live and she recognize her idol, Mickey Mouse and his friends. Anne was feeling lost and betrayed after telling her idols about her experience. After Mickey brought Anne back home with the Plantars, she reunited with her parents and must keep their identities as frog people a secret from the other humans while trying to find a way to return to Amphibia so she can defeat King Andrias once and for all.
