really really really really bad sketches for Ponyo... D: Especially bad drawings of Fujimoto... D: D: D: D: D: D: (I mean how many actually look like him?) I tried... of course I failed at my attempts at Lisa too... but ... I care more about how the sketches of Fujimoto came out...
I still have to figure out how to make it actually look like Fujimoto instead of just bearing some resemblance.... D: A majority of these were drawn after the second time I saw it... (... I've seen it three times already... >> I'm sad, I know...) Also almost all are drawn in pen... only three in pencil... which were drawn today...

They look adorable, espcially Fujimoto. 
I think you've got him, just in a different sense. He's recognisable and you've got his personality across. I find that an acomplisment in my eyes.

Hey ! Fujimoto is hard to draw ! I know because I'm trying at the moment (but I'm just back to DeviantArt so I didn't publish a single thing hahaha...
But the shape of his face is odd, hard to draw...Come one ! Keep up the good work ! We'll manage to find out how to make a good looking Fujimoto !! there are a lot of good art about him on deviantart or pixiv...grrrr make me jealous by the way !!

hehe yup, in fact at the moment I don't know what to draw first me x fujimoto or fujimoto x hauru from Howl's moving castle, who would attract more people.
I find it strange that not many people like to draw themselve with their favourite character. I found out recently that sometime people say "my OC likes him" refering to a character they created, sometimes an avatar of their own selves.
But japanese prefer to create doujinshi with famous characters. So I wonder, is this for the audience, because it's more interesting to draw characters that people know, or is it something like shyness ?
For my part I think that it may be very difficult to create something interesting to read when readers don't know you, but also that if you decide to create such a story, it will be hard to stay "in the character" (i don't know how to say that exactly, I'm french), but I mean that you may draw what you think and then the audience will feel like "No, he would never have said something/acted like this..."
This is even the case in some doujinshis and fanfictions, even when it's granmamare x fujimoto. It is very hard to make it realistic when you decide to draw a doujinshi.

Aw, well they'll have a date soon enough. Usually they send out the popular movies around Christmas time. Maybe that's when the Black Cauldron will come out too. ^^ I remember that movie, I used to have it on VHS but the tape ripped so I never watched it again.
