I love this pic. Seriously, I love how both Danny and Vlad came out here and the whole mood of the thing. Definitely brings a new meaning to the term "cold shoulder".

I always loved the odd relationship between the two... Both of them have such different personalities and experiences, and yet are so similar and do have one thing blaringly in common. They're both half-dead!! I have my own theories about the DP universe, and frankly, I think Danny's the only one to have actually died instantly when he got his powers while Vlad died a slower death and got his powers gradually. Nonetheless, I also think that after Phantom Planet, Vlad realized how much he royally screwed up and let the ghost part of his personality take over too much, and would gradually try to build up trust to Danny again. He still sees a connection between them both, but knows having him as a surrogate son can never happen. Danny on the other hand would rather burn his hand off before trusting Vlad again, especially after everything. So he resists Vlad with a passion and fury of a thousand suns. He doesn't want anymore to do with him unless forced to, and even then, he'll try to weasel out of being in the same room with the older Halfa.
