Description Rocket and Sunny Starscout are helping Cousin Rocket organize her old albums in the back of her van. In the middle of the project, Sunny mentions that her knowledge of Cousin Rocket's music is limited due to her parents' discrimination towards many genres of music and only has classical music at home. Glad at the chance to play some music, she puts Tequila on. While listening to the song, they start dancing, resulting in them fusing into Rocky Starscout. They promptly unfuse after seeing Cousin Rocket's shock. She is surprised to learn they can fuse, so they become flustered. She then launches into a story about her experience with fusion.

After the two sit down in the van, she puts in an old VCR which shows her singing a duet with Dragonoid. Anna plays the drums and Rainbow Sparkle plays the keytar. However, Elsa excludes herself from the band and is behind the stage, noticeably bitter and jealous of her. The way in which Drago sings about Cousin Rocket as a human makes her uncomfortable. They continue singing until Elsa suddenly walks up and whispers something in Drago's ear. They start dancing and Elsa fuses with Drago as Ice Dragon, in an effort to one-up Cousin Rocket who dances for the remainder of the song and unfuses. Elsa then drops the mic, ending her guitar solo. Drago tells Cousin Rocket that Elsa told him to fuse so her video had "a little something extra". He then says he has something to do and leaves but promises he'll see her later. Anna asks her to "pay up" for her playing the drums and gives her a bag of Pops.

After Drago warps off, Elsa spitefully tells Cousin Rocket that she is "just a phase" and that Drago only likes her for his novelty as a human being. When she objects to this, she explains the concept of fusion; because she isn't a magical being, she is not able to fuse. Elsa boasts that fusion is the "ultimate connection between them", and emphasizes that she is nothing but a human. She asks how she knows humans can't fuse, and when she can't reply, she vows to fuse with Dragonoid.

She practices dancing like Elsa did but Rainbow Sparkle and Anna interrupt. She asks them for help. Rainbow Sparkle explains to her that in order to really fuse, she would have to have a magical person at the center of her being, a body made of light, and a partner she's willing to trust with that light. She laments over Elsa's correct assumptions and berates herself for not being a magical being. She tells her that she thinks she can do it, but she has to dance her way, not like Elsa.

Cousin Rocket waits for Drago by her van. When he arrives, they start dancing. They continue dancing until Cousin Rocket steps up to his height. She then exclaims dejectedly that they didn't fuse and Drago starts laughing, telling her that she can't fuse because she's human. She replies that that's the problem, and she's enjoyed the past few months, but she's worried about the future. She then asks if he respects her, which he laughs off, not taking anything before seriously. Cousin Rocket gets angry and asks him to talk to her like a real person. Drago is at a loss for words and asks how he isn't "a real person", thinking that she already understood that. Cousin Rocket realizes that Dragonoid is an alien.

He then asks her problem. She replies that she has concerns about how their friendship will work due to their vast number of differences. Drago asks what they should do, and Cousin Rocket says she just wants to talk; they begin a conversation about humans and their feelings whilst hugging. She asks him if he's ever loved other humans, which he confirms. She then asks if he's ever been in love, and he says he doesn't know. She tells him that love and friendship feels like torture. He asks if their friendship is torture to her. She tells him that it is, and he apologizes. She says he shouldn't apologize, which confuses him. He laughs and knows that at least they have one thing in common: they're both confused.

They continue dancing as Elsa's hiding along with the others behind a rock spying on them. She asks them why they're still dancing since the fusion isn't working, but Rainbow Sparkle tells her that it is. Anna says that Cousin Rocket is her favorite one so far. Elsa says sadly that she thinks Cousin Rocket is Drago's favorite too.

Back in the van by today, Sunny asks Cousin Rocket if they were ever able to fuse, and she says no, but that it was more important that they talked to each other. She then says interaction between humans and magical beings is still new, and that they will have to work with it. She also tells Sunny that if she needs another human to talk to, she'll be there. They high five as Rocket talks to his aurora.
