Rocket and Twilight Sparkle are practicing magic fights against each other. After fighting in Rocket's hangar, Twilight tells him that she will sneak up on him and fight him tomorrow. At Wal-Mart, their battle continues. Later, Twilight pulls out Rocket's tongue and grabs a bottle of Ghost Pepper Sauce to have him surrender. He imagines a face on the drop of hot sauce and quickly gives up, but luckily he tricks her, but not before she defeats him. At Disneyland the next day, Rocket thinks anyone or anything can be Twilight, so he is cautious and does not work much. When he attacks one of the guests, Sunlight demands to know what is going on, so he explains to her that he is doing magic fights.

Eventually, Sunlight tells him to stop doing magic fights or he will be terminated. Later, Twilight appears and attacks Rocket, although he tries to explain Sunlight's warning to her, she thinks he is bluffing and does not listen. Sunlight witnesses them and terminates Rocket, who runs around the place crazily and having a tantrum. Feeling guilty, Twilight explains that it was her fault and begs her to give Rocket his job back. She agrees on the condition that they do no more magic fights, saying it is poisoning Rocket's mind.

The two try to forget about magic and go to Balboa Park for a picnic. However, everything reminds them of magic, particularly when Rocket slices bologna using his magic. They eventually can't resist the urge and slice up all kinds of ingredients and make several sandwiches in the process. They eventually take up their magic hobbie again and have a great deal of fun.

Sunlight, who is taking a walk in the park, catches them surrounded by sandwiches and the surroundings are really trashed, clearly having broken their promise. Rocket admits the truth, saying he cannot help himself and asks her to simply terminate him. However, she replies that she has something else in mind.

Back at Disneyland, Sunlight rehires Rocket along with Twilight Sparkle make sandwiches at an exceptional rate, using magic to slice and assemble the ingredients, which brings in lots of customers and makes the park twice as much money as before.
