Description Rocket and Sox are playing on a monster's toy horse when Pibby appears behind some nearby bushes, spying on them. Rocket hears someone in distress in the distance and goes to investigate, discovering Pibby and her old sidekick. She is arguing with him, who wants to be released from his servitude because he is old and feeble, although given his nimbleness as he flees this was clearly just a trap for Rocket. When they rush to his aid, she begins ordering the side to do unusual tasks for her. Rocket pities the sidekick so he offers to take his place as Pibby's sidekick. Sox tries to talk Rocket out of it, but Pibby scares away Sox and then flies off with Rocket.

They land at a nearby house, and Pibby orders Rocket to open the door. He refuses to do so, stating that he would not if innocent people would be hurt. Pibby reminds him that he is her sidekick and has no choice in the matter, and so he opens the door for her. Pibby tells Rocket to hold down the victim, and he says that he was sorry before doing as he was ordered. Rocket thinks Pibby is going to suck the victim's energy and attempts to stop her, but she disables Rocket's arms temporarily. He is horrified when Pibby sinks her teeth into the victim, but she was actually sucking the education out of the outfit. He is incredibly happy with his new plain look and Pibby reminds Rocket that she eats educated things, not just energy. During this, Sox is watching through a window, claiming that he has a plan to relieve Rocket of his sidekick duties. Pibby notices this, and turns into a letter F, to scare Sox. He runs into the nearby bushes, screaming "I'm not running away, Rocket! This is just part of my plan!"

The two leave the house, and Rocket is trying to figure out what is wrong with Pibby. She asks him, "Thinking about how that dude's shirt sort of looked like you seen in a textbook?" to which he says, "No!" They then stop by a school. Pibby brings the educated things to life to form an army using a resurrection chant. She exclaims, "Are you ready to lead a school army?!" Rocket shouts, "Never!" but a book "persuades" him into doing it. While they march toward the Duke and Duchess of Weasels' castle, Rocket runs ahead and tries to warn them, but when Pibby finally arrives, it turns out that she was performing for them because it is the Duke of Weseals' second son's first day of school. Rocket begins to notice the pattern in Pibby's orders and thinks a little about the situation before being interrupted by the Butler. He convinces him to stop thinking and just party.

Pibby then presents Rocket with a cute apple tree and offers him some of the fruit before ordering him to slay it with her guitar sword. He attempts to work out the trick to his latest order, unsure as to why she would ask him to kill something so cute. He hesitates and the plant grows huge and malicious. He tries to slay the plant but ends up being swallowed by it. Pibby kills the plant and Rocket cuts his way out of its stomach. He then realizes that all her "evil" commands are really tricks that just seem evil and are only to mess with his head. The next day, the two go out for a walk in strawberry fields out in the sun.

Pibby brings along an umbrella and Rocket asks if the sun can destroy her. She answers, "Yeah, it hurts, but I kinda like it. Reminds me of when I'd scrape up my knee as a kid and my mom patching me up afterwards." Rocket responds by saying that Sox told him that he came out of a cabbage. She then asks him if he wants to go number hunting with her and Rocket agrees. She is surprised by his casual attitude about it, saying number hunting is "hard core" and Rocket tells her he knew that her evil deeds were not so evil after all. She jokingly berates him for taking so long to figure out that she was not so bad. Suddenly Sox (cleverly disguised as a giant strawberry) leaps at Pibby and throws a ball at her, causing her to drop her umbrella and become exposed to the sun. She falls to the ground, weakened, blistered, and in agony. Rocket tells Sox that Pibby is not as evil as she seems, but Sox believes he is under a vampire spell of some sort. Pibby hides herself under her umbrella and Rocket rushes over to it, lifting up one side telling her a plan he just thought of.

Sox leaps forwards and puts a knife through it, lifting up the umbrella to reveal a cloud of smoke in Pibby's shape. Rocket tells him he faced his preschool evil fear and saved him. Sox leaves, happy to have saved his friend. Rocket remains for a moment, picking up the umbrella. Pibby emerges from Rocket's backpack in her small cat form (this was a part of Rocket's plan; he told her this quickly when he lifted up the side of her umbrella) and tells him that she totally owes him and that he was fired as her sidekick because it would not be fun if she could not trick him. They still promise to go number hunting the next day. Pibby then picks up her umbrella and flies away.
