Description Weeee. I found a rather beautiful picture of Jean Grey drawn by.........well, fuck I can't remember the artist, but it was a famous one. Anyhow, I loved the posing, so I borrowed it somewhat for this, although I changed a few things...like I added full legs, instead of cutting it off at the knee, I moved the arms down, instead of up, and a few other things. The Jean Grey picture was the inspiration, however. Anywho! moving on...

I put this is miscellaneous because, while most of it is digitally painted, it's a conglomeration of things. It's part photomanip because the background (just the stars, not the coloring) was a photograph of a desert night scene I found, which I put over the blue and purple and black coloring I'd already done. The wings I made months ago, with Photoshop 7. The original line art was done in pencil, but as most of the work was done in PS 7 I figured digital art was the best category, as usual. I also inked it by hand, but essentially all of that work was removed later in PS.

I think I'm rather happy with the way this turned out. I tried various tints and contrasts and many different levels of fuzziness before I finally settled on this. I've got about 6 versions of this pic, some without backgrounds, on this pc now. *L*

As usual, this is the character I created, Nia aka Seraph. With her metal wings, instead of her feathery ones. Eventually I may get around to re-doing this picture with feathered wings...I think it'd be lovely.
