the on in the cylinder shapes.
I think you used pre-blur. I would have gone for radial (but then again im a fan of radial while there arent that many xD)

I got the things you sent. I'm not sure I like gausian blur much, but I can think of a few places in the future that I might use radial blur.
I'm curious what the purpose of the Fx curl was though. Curl is another variation I don't try use very often...

I dont use gausian that much neither. only sometimes to kill sharp edges.
but i thought oh well xD.
curl is a variation I use very often ^^
the purpose was to shape the totallity to get a bit more tension (don't know if i did this time but if i dont use any other fx i do curl almost automaticly xD)
simple example : [link]
without the final trans being curl it would have been a bit boring

Would make a good scene for Sleeping Beauty, wit hthe thorns and roses, and the two swirls look kinda like, "which direction to go?" , like the prince can't find his way and all (not having and easy time trying to phrase my thoughts tonight).

I loved Diseny's Sleeping Beauty movie! Its sad though... out of all my videos I think it was one of the first to die a moldy death (curse the high humidity) so I never got to watch it too many times.

XD That's how all of our old Disney films were destroyed, especially because wherever we live, our storage spoace ended up being a barn, so we stored movies in our barn and that just quickened the process of their untimely demise. I now have friendswho own most of the the best Disney classics on DVD, so I just borrow the movies from them whenever I'm in the mood.
Aladin has to be my favorite though.

I never actually saw Pocahontas. Snow White is my least favorite though because Snow White just has an annoying high-pitched voice.
T.T Fox and the Hound is one of the few movies that can still make me cry. I don't mean just choke up or tear up a little bit or get a lump in the throat, I was full out crying when I watched it last a few years ago. The only other movie that ever made me cry that much was Edward Scissorhands.
The odd thing is, the people I know who love the old Disney films the most are adults who say they appreciate old cartoons so much more than when they were kids, and they miss the old Disney magic. When they made The Princess and the Frog in an attempt to be traditional, it somehow was missing something, or had too much of something, it just seemed a bit off.
Yeah, for me, I don't really think any other company other than Pixar has any business tapping into computer generated animation (except How To Train Your Dragon, only other acceptable film). I think maybe one of the reasons anime now holds such a wide audience may be because it's basically still traditional, and most/any computer effects are done with the mechs or background stuff.
And I /hate/ 3D movies. It ruins everything. I hear some theatres play both 2D and 3D version, but the one I go to is too small, so only when a movie is several weeks old will they put it to a 2D screen.

Really? Never saw Pocahontas? I always thought of it a classic (nice art work, cute story, ect). Yeah Snow White wasn't a big favorite of mine, in the movie I prefered the 7 dwarfs and the evil queen (she was a real creep).
I don't really cry for movies. But Fox and the Hound definatly makes me choke up a bit. I never say Edward Sissorhands... actually I'm not entirely certain what it is, lol. OH!!! I just remembered one that I can't beleive I forgot... THE LION KING!!! That was pretty epic too... Even with Pixar I'm not certain I like it. I just don't think it looks all that great. Not to say that some good things havn't come out of it...(like Finding Nemo, Toy Story, ect) I just prefer the 'old way'.
I really wanted to see both How To train your dragon and The princess and the Frog... but, a) University doesn't make it easy to look for a theater and have time to watch somthing, b) my family absolutly HATES animation. They basically think in all forms that it is childish and not appropriate for a 21 year old to be looking at. So they won't go with me to see any of them. And I'm not going to go to a movie by myself.... I could wait for it on DVD, but even then my parents don't want me buying it. As a result I don't think I've seen an animation in a theater in the last 5 years. I miss a ton of movies because of that.
I think thats why I like anime. Also I like cartoons to have at least a slight plot... I've kinda outgrown those plotless silly humor shows that flood the airwaves.

I should watch it just for the sake of it. I also never saw The Hunchback of Notre Dame, I've been meaning to since forever, but just never got around to it.
The dwarves do make the movie worth it.
I only saw Edward Scissorshands recently myself, it's a slightly earlier Tim Burton film, and definately much different than I thought it would be, but it was good.
Of course! Oh, Lion King is one of the greats. I also like Mulan, thought I know it's not a popular favorite of most Disney fans. And Robin Hood was also great, I think it also has to be one of my favorites.
Since Pixar started out with CGI, it just seems the natural thing for them to do. Granted, a few of their movies weren't so great (I mostly just didn't like Bugs Lif and Cars), but the Incredibles, Up, Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and Monsters Inc. are all well worth it.
Awww, that's sad. I'd probably only go to a theatre maybe twice a year if it wasn't for cartoons, which I often end up seeing 2-3 times in theare. I'm lucky to have a family that loves cartoons as much as I do, and my 30-year-old sister, whenever a cartoon comes out, she calls us a few days later to tell us why we /must/ go see it.
Do you have any friends who also like cartoons?
Eh, yeah, most cartoon shows do lack plot, and the animation is fairly bad anyways, which is a good case for pro-anime watching compared to watching at least American cartoons. Though, Avatar: The Last Airbender was probably the best the cartoons got on Nickelodeon (still had to wait for the episodes to come out on dvd to watch it), and now that's over and done.

Oh yes, I loved Mulan too, but I admit that I was not a huge fan of the dragon in it. He didn't really seem time/region appropirate... but then again he was the comic releif so it doesn't matter much. I just don't like the appearance of CGI. The plot and charatcers are often lovable though, so I couldn't say I hate them all. Yeah... Cars just didn't intrest me much at all, and Bug's Life seemed kinda odd.
Avatar the Last Airbender was a true exception. It looked great, was entertaining, had a good balance of comedy and action and mixed plot with a few nutty episodes to make it fun.
I was sad to see it end, but thats admitingly another great thing about it. So many shows drag on forever and eventually something gets lost. Pokemon is probably the ultimate "goes on forever" show. Every season they dump almost every character and pokemon then do it all over again. Could you imagine if Avatar did something like.... lets say now the rouge group in the earth kingdom wants to get back at the fire nation for all the war/evil/blah blah blah, so they launch some sort of super evil plan to destroy them. The Aang and his friend have to save the fire nation... somehow. Then they add a few more charaters becaue they got bored of the current set. So they add a "lightning bender" (new bender to spice things up) then they give toph a boyfriend so that everyone has someone... then fire lord Ozi gets out of prision and gets his powers back for 5 episodes before he's defeted again...... basically it would kill everything that was every great in the first place.
I did hear that there is a new Avatar cartoon comming out this or next year. Apparently it features the next avatar (from the water tribe, I guess 80 years later), so its an all new cast and stuff. Could be interesting.

It's Disney, they have to have a quirky character to keep kids entertained with the plot.
XD Haha, that'd be sad if they did something silly light that. (though Azula could bend lightning I think.)
I have read about to new Avatar, it seems interesting. From what I've heard, it sounds like it'll be a more steam-punk based setting since the world has advanced. It seems kind of interesting, and I'm happy that it'll have very little association with the previous series so it won't bring back old characters just to ruin them, it's just working with the same world concept.

Yup, Azula could blast lightning, so could Iroh and Ozi. It is apparently some odd advanced firebending. But it would be annoying if they decided to make a whole nation of people who are not fire benders, but use lightning (pretending its a new element or something). When shows drag on they more than often die.
I can only hope that it turns out ok when they try the new season.

Oh yeah! I haven't seen the whole series more than once through, so I've forgotten a lot.
Even worse would've been shadow benders, I can almost picture some silly fanfic that has shadows benders.
I'm keeping my hopes up. *fingers crossed*

I think I shall write a fanfic just for that purpose. There will be shadow benders, light benders, wood benders, plactic benders (the avatar world will invent plastic soon),time bending, space bending, memory bending and reality bending.
It will be revealed that Sokka was secretly a reality bender and there will be a whole crazy adventure as he battles against the shadow benders, who bend shadows across the moon every month, to allow the moon to be full forever.
Fanfics are too awesome.... thats why I don't read them. My brain would die of awesome poisoning!
