i have so much hope for this. but even though they've made her look more like annabeth, it'll be hard to recover what they've screwed up with the first movie. sure, the movie was fine if you never read the books. but honestly, they didn't have to change everything! i mean, at least make the pen have a cap instead of click! and make grover white and scrawny, not all black and buff! GUHHHHH.

Well the first wasn't exactly bad if you judged it on its own merits. Though yes it was very very inaccurate when compared to the book. Who knows though maybe we will get a reverse Harry Potter effect and the films will get better as they go along instead of worse lol

It's so inaccurate--the Greek mythology was off too. And thing is, I wouldn't mind if it was one thing or another changed, but nearly the whole plot was rewritten--and poorly. Because it's become so twisted, there's no way the rest of the movies can be accurate. Which makes me very, very sad.
Yes, Alexandria Daddario is lovely, and so is Logan Lerman, they're fantastic, but they're too old. Honestly. These kids are supposed to be 13. Alexandria just turned 26. And she expects to be able to play someone half her age AND she was brunette in the first, so they already messed that up, and won't get fans back by dying her hair...Haha, sorry, I'm such a pessimist about this because I was so disappointed.

Yes it was very inaccurate Im well aware been a fan of the books since release day of the Lightning Thief novel. I was disappointed as well 1.because I love the book 2. because the guy who directed it was the guy who did Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (fantastic movie). Now the movie itself wasn't bad if you looked at it like oh say fanfiction, as its own story which is how I watched it the second time around and enjoyed it a lot more.
I understand that with what they did to the first film they would have to be beyond inconsistent to make the second one good but other film series have done that before so its not impossible

The thing with the age can be over looked. Most books to movies do not get people to play the part that the age says...but they do got a lot of work to explain with so many of the stuff missing for the first.
