i honestly don't have a solid memory of how this started, aside from being passively into drag race and thinking since laszlo and tallulah are both creatives, it might be something up their alley... it's turned into an entire plot point with very silly lore. as serious as i'm taking this, worry not- i know exactly how insane i look to everyone outside my friend circle. LMAO

anyway in an effort to summarize, basically tallulah is looking for a new avenue to get her name out there for her fashion and begs laszlo to help her out. which he does because they're siblings and ultimately would do anything to help each other. although the morals are a little grey and lasz is mostly worried about being seen as a fraud. the goal was to basically just go all out in episode one and get instantly booted, since even being in one episode was enough for advertising, but laszlo somehow makes it to the top three.

honestly the family would be excited to see them on tv and be really supportive, but i like to think after all is said and done, laszlo just wants to get back to painting and tallulah's just upset they cut out laszlo crediting her in post, meaning she has to start all over.

oh yeah and since it's drag race in fictional 2037, rupaul is somehow still there but she's part robot now. no idea if it's cybernetics or an android from the ground up, but she is there and she will shoot you down if you bring up the fracking.

anyway this whole silly thing is kind of my favorite thing and i need to do more with it, mostly bc i love putting laszlo in little outfits and need to draw him actually being happy in one. i feel like the moral conundrum would weigh down on him quite a bit but i think he would absolutely have a soft spot for drag, even if he's not quite the performance type.

(oh and this was the first time i ever drew carl!! he came out so nice for this one)
