Another unexpected find when I dig our team's archive from 2012. Back then we were testing our newly-built Avensis for GT300 class in Super GT. It was suddenly drizzling when we took the picture. Nonetheless, we think that it was a good chance to test it's performance on wet tracks...

...or not, actually I'm still in the middle of the "artworks I would send to the past" theme and this time it's a 3rd gen Toyota Avensis, basically a silhouette car that resembles an Avensis, built based on 2012 regulation of Super GT's GT300 class. Although honestly I'm not really sure if the 2012 regulation allows the use of canards or not.

Contrary to the road-going version of the car which sports the FF layout, the GT300 version has MR layout. It's powered by Toyota's V6 placed right behind the driver, which explains the massive roof scoop, mated to a sequential gearbox that delivers the power to the rear wheels. Overall, it makes 300RWHP which complies to GT300 class' regulation. The entire carbody is made of carbon fiber which makes this car weighs around 1200 kg's. Much lighter than the road-going version.
