Meh, I have to respectfully disagree. Their status effect abilities CAN actually be quite useful, and they have a good chance at getting two attacks when equipped with a weight (or otherwise at low HP), which can actually have a *large* impact on damage output.
Plus, they're fucking hot 
Though, yeah, there's a bit of a luck factor to their effectiveness 
(And, yeah, it probably would be hard to be sneaky when you're as top-heavy as those girls are

they are my favorite class - yes, they're sexy as fuck, but the status effects (especially paralyze and poison) are immeasurably useful when grinding on levels where enemies respawn, or when taking on high level enemies that you otherwise couldn't do jack about.
as for the fist skills... as soon as you get the top tier ones, you really don't need anything else, even the double attacks. Big Bang, especially, is effectively a nuke.
EDIT: also, they are speedy as all hell, add some shoes and you can basically run through an entire entire item world only stopping to clear the path when necessary.
