Description
September is credited for marking the start of autumn, inspiring this palette! It has three birth flowers, and they are all very passionate: the forget-me-not, the morning glory and the aster. The birth stone for the month is the sapphire that represents clarity of thought, intuition, and peacefulness.
With this in mind, I'm happy to announce that the theme of this month's challenge is Thought!

Rules:
- Please submit your piece by 11:59 PM AKST September 31st.
- Use all five colors shown on the template to create your piece. Pure black is not allowed, however ,pure white is.
-Blending is fine, but please directly pick the color if you are working digitally. For the traditional artists, please try to match the colors as closely as you are able. This also means you must make sure that the canvas or paper you use either matches one of the colours in the palette. We will no longer be accepting pieces where the background paper colour does not fall within the scheme! (Sorry!)
- You may make multiple pieces and submit them to our gallery, but choose only one to enter the voting (please let us know which one you want us to use! If you do not specify, we will only enter your first submission into the voting.)
- Please submit to the featured section of the Colour-Schemes gallery so everyone can see and so it's officially entered in the challenge! We will move the challenges to the appropriate folder ourselves. You can of course reply here with a link, too, because then we have happy confirmation.
Notice: Please mention in your artist's comments that your piece is for this Challenge!

This would be very hard for me to do without any dark colours for outlines... Are we allowed to use black just as a draft layer and delete it later?

as long as the black isn't visible in the final piece, absolutely!
(honestly I don't care too much for the no black/white rule and will probably amend it)

well, I do agree for using black and white, these are not, after all, colors.

well yes, black and white are the absence of colour and the dense pigment of all colours, though I believe at the very least the use of white should be allowed, as there's a new rule about background colors having to fit the scheme
what this person was asking was if they could use black to sketch
it wouldn't be visible in the final product, so it doesn't make sense to deny them that
there are some universal rules us admins have to pertain to, though we can allow the use of either white or black

For some reason it reminds me of sunsets... otherwise the use of "thought" and "sapphire" in the same paragraph reminded me of the Steven Universe song
Maybe I'll incorporate it into the piece for this month
