And the Patronus is a success! *insert good guy pose!* Looks like Neville's happy memory was quite powerful, lolz.
I don't think they ever actually mentioned what Neville's Patronus actually was (I know Luna's was a hare in the movie or something like that... don't remember what Ron and Hermione's were), but I do recall that there was speculation that it should be a lion.
He certainly is lion-hearted, the the 7th book especially.
Ah well, my Muse is on a HarrixNeville fluff binge... We'll see how far this goes...

Not that you asked, but Hermione = otter, Luna = hare, and Ron = jack russel terrier. Incidentally, you are right that Neville's patronus has never been revealed. I think a lion suits him, deep inside, though a huge toad would be funny. I love Harri/Neville.
