Pooling around our feet was all the happiness the world had to offer as it drained away in our tears. It drowned as though a flood washed through destroying all hope in it's path. Bystanders watched through windows of sympathy as it crashed through. The windows fogged up as more tears were shed making them indifferent. It plowed through mountains of faith and courage, reducing them to mere rubble, racing onward. It left nothing in it's path. Our strength draining, the last waves crash against the shores of our souls leaving ripples in the sands of our hearts. The damage it caused was irreversible. All it left was a
massive scar for the entire world to see and recognize. Though, through the devastation, new life grows and flourishes upon these scars. Through many years it will give birth to new life even more prosperous than before, but for now it is still a large numbing scar.
