When she opened her eyes, he was the first thing she saw. And he was the first one to see her smile despite how weak and fragile she was from birth. And despite not knowing why, Atem decided to always be there for Bast. I have always wanted to draw these two as babies. They're both so cute. T-T And yes, this is where they first meet. I decided that when Bast was born, she was born very weak. To the point the medics of Egypt were convinced she would die very soon. This would certainly devistate Nubit since she had already lost her husband. The baby she had would be the only thing to have her remember her husband by. But thankfully, she manages to get through. Thus, Nubit names her Bast, after the Egyptian Goddess. And Atem plays a big role of Bast not dying. Something about how they saw each other seemed to click, even though they were just babies. Atem is only over nine months older than Bast. He would take it upon himself to always help her. Gah! I love these two so much! Next up is going to be them as kids. :3 enjoy!
