↬ Positive Traits ↫

∘ Polite - Shore, being the only only one of his siblings to take after their parent, is a very curtious cat. He makes sure to wait his turn before speaking, and always greats cats older than him with respect. Oftentimes, Shore will go out of his way to do something kind for another cat such as letting them leave camp first or eat first. He thinks that treating others with respect is incredibly important.

∘ Approachable - Shorekit is a very easy cat to talk to. Hes loud and proud and love she to talk! The little cat especially loves to meet new cats and to make new friends. Meeting cats from new clans and learning all about them is so interesting!

∘ Observant - When Shore takes a moment to sit still, he can be very focused. He loves to study things and is often preoccupied by the small things in life, such as a bird or even a pretty rock. He's good at picking up on cats lying or acting strange, as he can tell when they're acting different from their usual selves.

↬ Negative Traits ↫

∘ Reserved -Although Shore is easy to talk to, he keeps his own emotions and intimate details of his life close to himself. The only cats he confides in are his parents and close friends. Although he likes making friends, feeling comfortable enough with them to tell them about his problems is a whole other story.

∘ Impulsive - As young kittens often do, Shorekit acts before he thinks things through. This often times gets him into trouble with his overprotective father, Rushpool, who does not tolerate the young tom's tendency to wander and get his paws on anything and everything that could be harmful. More than once the queen has had to round up his son from the edge of camp where their young child was attempting to get out of camp for a walk.

∘ Independent - Shorekit is fiercely independent. When he puts his mind to something, he wants it done his way, and only his way, completely by himself. He likes to work alone and would rather spend time by himself.

∘ Charming - Shorekit is prone to batting his pretty baby blues and whining to his father, mother, or whoever else is within earshot to get what he wants. He is an absolute shmooze. Of course, its not all bad, the kitten is absolutely adorable without meaning to be.

∘ Outgoing - Shorekit is loud and easy to talk to! He loves to talk to new cats, and to make new friends. He's got a cheerful and approachable disposition however he has a tendency to only trust a select few cats- despite his multitude of friends.

[History]

Kit-hood (0-6 moons)⇢
Shorekit was born alongside a brother and a sister to Willowsplash. Willowsplash, being a good friend of Rushpool, had been the surrogate mother for the tom. His parent decided to give him the name "Shore" in reference to his creamy colored pelt, which reminded Rushpool of the banks along the water in Emberclan territory. Shorekit's siblings were named Lilykit and Cypresskit, in reference to the plant and tree.

Being a quiet kit in this litter was a nightmare for Shorekit, who had two very arrogant, bossy, and pushy siblings who never left him alone. Lilykit and Cypresskit would often times beat up on Shorekit for fun, much to his dismay. Over the moons of his kithood, Shorekit began to become more like his father- Rushpool. He was inspired by how Rushpool had overcome the loss of their eye, and how they were incredibly kind. Although Shorekit is much louder than Rushpool, the pair share a similar kind, almost motherly, air about them. Shorekit also grew to be incredibly close with Tidekit, a dilute calico she-cat whom he shared the den with. The pair were nearly inseparable, and considered themselves to be best friends.

Out of nowhere one day, a tiny red kitten was brought to camp by Stingheart. The kitten, a tom, was given to Sprucestar to nurse until he was healthy enough to join the others in the nursery and eat freshkill. Immediately, Shorekit wanted to be friends with the new tom- newly renamed Pikekit. Pikekit seemed a bit overwhelmed when Tidekit and Shorekit introduced themselves, but they ended up making friends.

Towards the end of his kithood, his surrogate mother Willowsplash became his real mother when Rushpool and Willowsplash became mates. It was a bit of an adjustment for him, but he already loved the she-cat, and considered her a friend so it was a happy surprise. He still feels uncomfortable addressing her as "mom", and likely never will, but he deeply respects the older she-cat.
