I'm glad that you liked it. I was somewhat concerned that you wouldn't when I started. xD
It was a bit tricky to convert Anaik to my style at first. I guess you saw that messy sketch. : p
The reason why she doesn't entirely look like a wolf is because I gave her some features of another animal's anatomy.
Blending a dragon with a wolf needs a lot of planning. I constated that she would have back problems if I didn't do
anything. xD
And because I'm so picky, I chose to base the Z'evadons off another animal; the thylacine.
Thylacines naturally have very reptile-like characteristics. Big paws, lanky body, flexible spine, skull and tail like
a reptile... But they still look like they could be related to wolves.
I added the wings, removed some stripes and gave the creature dragon eyes...
This is maybe why she looks a bit alien...and skinny. : p
Zitox was fun to draw but the picture kinda bored me so, no. xD
I wish people requested me horses also. I've actually practiced drawing them! lol
But yeah, then I got this image of Anaik in my head and I didn't want to cram any extra creatures
into the painting so Zitox had to go. :[
But thank you so very much, and yeah, I think it's kinda boring sometimes.
I do draw for my own entertainment but sometimes when you've really tried your best and no-one except you sees it...
I gotta admit everything just feels kinda pointless. But I like the watchers I have now.
Most of them are very supportive and nice, so I don't let numbers put me down. : )

And yeah you're totally right it's hard something if your art doesn't get the attention that it should get.
But yeah it's very hard to be noticed here on this over popular art-site x)
I also wish I had more comments favs and watchers. It just give you a push in the right direction.

But I still enjoy drawing so I guess that's what counts huh

lol yep sometimes i think dA has gone insane when I see only photographed women on the "what's hot" page.
hehe i agree, in real life no-one ever comments. i don't know why...
maybe they don't care or are tired or maybe they're like "they probably know they're awesome so i don't have to
tell them that" and so no-one ever says anything. : p
but i have actually encountered many people who have in a mean fashion pointed out flaws and discouraged me
from drawing certain things. Like humans and such. :[
Maybe they're just insecure or something dunno but watch out for those. I still find drawing humans a bit unpleasant.
Aah sorry for writing a novel or something...I just like writing. xD
Yep, and never ever force yourself to learn drawing better. I've found that, that is what really kills creativity. : p
I see many artists go down that road.
