Linc conned me into doing WCS [Adelaide '11 prelims] with her. This was our entry.
• Shot of us actually facing the camera , ahaha. Linc makes me look so tiny. ;A;
• Larger shot of the weapon (aka roflcopter OTL the blades actually spin). Proud of it even if it, uh. Broke. ;; Even in the picture one of them is crooked, lol.
• Happiest with the tengu geta/sandals. *_*; They weren't even that hard to walk in. (Though... also broke, looool.)

Do you mind sharing the design of Hanbei's clothes under that armor plate thing? The image I got of his design was inaccurate due to low definition.

there seems to be another layer of armour (same type as on his hips) under the top layer, but i didn't bother with that personally—just had the open jacket and yellow yukata. as long as your top layer of armour goes down far enough to cover your stomach it should be fine!! *u* hope that helps~

Oh, right. I forgot to ask about the cloth used in the costume. How did you get the details on the cloth and what kind of cloth is it?

i think cloth generally comes down to personal choice/preference. :0 since mooost references won't specify material unless it's something totally obvious (or character trademark) like snakeskin. personally i used generic cotton drill for the yukata (since it's a basic robe), some microfibre thin suede-ish fabric for the pants and jacket patterns (since it was cheap at my local store and happened to be the right colour), and tracksuiting for the white jacket (since i wanted to be a fluffy little s**t)... but it's totally up to you!! take what you want that looks right, or that you can find within your budget, and just run with it~~~♥ *u*

Anyway! I like how your costumes are in such clean and bright colours - really makes the complementary colours pop. The same elements are there in the original designs of course, but in a much more subdued way.
