Relive the anger of her father Kuzimu, the frustration and resentment of Giza, the longing for Kijani, and the crippling heartache of missing her mother Azola.
And missing being a cub, with her mother. Back when times, even the harsh times, were happier, and simpler....
And even the time that the Brute (Kuzimu) took the final step to far.......... destroyed everything for Zira.....
................and chose his horrible end.

Funny, i noticed little hints to her potential past in her song, though i always thought that "brute" was Simba, but maybe it was someone in her family.
In my backstory for Zira, she's the daughter of Scar and Sarabi, with the Outsiders being other litters from Sarabi and Sarafina, i think she's a nice blend of them, and takes after her father a lot, is resented by both parents, Sarabi misses her Simba, and Scar wanted his own prince, but trains her into becoming a beast, a warrior, fighter, killer. Sarabi accepted Scar as her King on the days of Mufasa's passing and tried to find Taka in the monster known as Scar, she ends up hating her daughter after seeing the ugly and evil of Scar again, and in the end, raised as the son Scar never had, loses what remained of her heart on the night of Simba's return and manipulates her half brother into joining his Pride, of course the memory of the dark lion still visible for the survivors of his reign, they find it difficult to see them as their own, if it weren't already troubling enough, the daughters of Scar carried his likeness, they plot an ambush on Sarabi and Sarafina, Simba and Nala find out and are betrayed, banishing them to the Outlands, forever hating them and not being able to let go of the past until the end of Simba's Pride, but Zira could not let go of her hate, and it destroys her too.Β

what exactly happened to kuzimu? did zira kill him or something? did kuzimu kill azola out of frustration or resentment, and zira avenged her mother?

This is all fanmade/written by me. This is in no way an official TLK storyline. I have the rest of this written down, I have not released some of the story for my own personal reasons. But yeah. Kuzimu was a horrible character that treated all the females (Zira Azola Etc... ) like lower life forms, JUST because they were females.

Reminds me of some Indian men- back where I come from, girls and women are still looked upon and mistreated even today. All in spite of the Indian govt's methods to eliminate such torture from India. Like your story for zira, but I prefer zira and scar being parents to nuns and vitani while kovu was.... Well, mysteriously adopted by her. And scar saw it and named him his heir before he died from his injuries, which he got after fighting his way out of the hyenas. And zira and company blamed simba for killing him. Dumb kitty!
