First of all, this is awesome in and of itself.
Second of all, this reminds me of when I was a little kid, my sister and I used to play games using the paint program on our computer (note, this was even before windows 95, so this is an -old- paint program we're talking about), and my favorite was these kinda random rpg-like adventures I'd go on. Fun stuff I found on my adventures included a chainsaw that could cut portals in thin air...
...and a yellow kitten that glowed when I pet it. So for me, this looks like that kitten grown up or something, and that makes it more awesome.
