Another super quick image of a "Sand Dog" playing with a local street mutt XD
just wanted to see about a full bodyish image of one of these things.

Last time I said they would be found in Utah, but I think they could be found in other desert places, or atleast the western part of the US... even southern.. A native animal that is calm enough to be domesticated. needs a warmer climate.

It may not be as useful or obedient as a dog, but if you have food, it'll stick around and may become attached to you. And could be a great "watch dog"...who would mess with this thing?!!?!?
It would suck as a hunting companion. If it were to catch anything or chase anything down... you are NOT going to be getting that prize LOL It's still wild enough to not want to share its food.

And unfortunately, they're particularly fascinated with horses and cattle..... to play with, and sometimes to eat...

Speaking of food. Keep yours safe and locked up, they'll get into it and pig out. (they love bread rolls)
And they're omnivores so anything can be on the menu.

They can be pack-ish animals. Leader is not decided by Gender, but by who is the most qualified to lead their pack. Preferably an elder. Or they can go it alone and be solitary.

And the front claws are soo big because they will dig into burrows to eat rabbits and any other thing that they can find.
And will dig a bit into the ground to make a "bed" to sleep in. Like a trench or something.

females are about the size of a male Africa. lion, males only slightly bigger. Not related to canines or felines (may be a species all it's own)

They're not super fierce, but it can do damage (and is a hunter).

I wouldn't want to get on one of these things' bad side.....

I dunno what else to write.
