⭐️Backstory: Born and raised in Sandersville, Georgia Grant was always a fan of football. So much in fact that he put a lot of work into just that when he got into middle school he immediately began working onto getting on the football team. Taking the quarterback position and made himself well known in the little league playoffs, with barely passing grades. This continued throughout his high school years as he bulked up through physical training and became the star quarterback for his high school football team. Now in San Francisco after getting a scholarship at the University of California, Berkeley, he hope to land a starting spot for the Varsity Squad standing at an impressive 6’3. One thing to note is that while awaiting tryouts, others that want those spots have been using Mutant Growth Hormones to reach above and beyond however Grant seems to be the only one with some common sense and knows that whoever is supplying that kind of stuff is scamming people. Despite his stereotypical “dumb jock” attitude, he knows right from wrong and knows that natural gains can get someone far in life. After having this conversation with two of his friends, he decides to go to the Mutant Rally. Oblivious to the world tensions between humans and mutants Grant doesn't see that the peace rally and threatening protesters around him have any connection to his life. However while trying to hit on a girl at the rally an attack happens, kicking off the San Francisco War where an explosion sends a car flying towards Grant. Too slow to react he braces for the worse only for his body to form rock like material to shield him from the vehicle and tossed it aside. More objects flew towards him as he beats them back and away from him, he even moves in to stop some from hurting civilians before realizing what had happened… his own mutant powers, Grant is faced with the realization that mutant/human relations are absolutely his problem when he teams up with Aimi Yoshida and Adrian Luca. Battling with and alongside both the X-Men and The Brotherhood of Evil. Grant’s somewhat carefree and jokey attitude often clashed with Adrian’s dislike of mutants but also his identity and more serious nature. Causing the two to fight on more than one occasion, while having a more friendly relationship with Aimi. Grant’s ability to control his own density also gave him super strength and durability, even able to match and even overpower Juggernaut. After meeting Emma Frost, crushing on her hard, it ends up motivating him to fight for the goodness of humans and mutants…eventually joining the X-Men after mastering his new powers during the end of the conflict.

💪Abilities
~Density Control: This power gives Grant the ability to control the density of his body mass. He must have fat tissue to manipulate his mass and turn it into obsidian, therefore by eating and gaining fat he can use his powers for however long he needs to so long as he has fat tissue or body fat to supply his body. It can be focused into the fist for a heavy hit or distributed through the entire body, rendering him indestructible. Parts of the body that are influenced are so dense they turn into an obsidian state. This power comes with superhuman stamina and durability allowing the mutant to endure attacks from large groups of enemies. From launching enemies by hitting the ground, blasting enemies back by smashing his fists to rolling into a boulder and can clear out enemies with a powerful shockwave from a clap of his Obsidian Knuckles. He can also fire his own projectiles from his from his Obsidian Knuckles that stick to and explode after afew seconds, can create barricades that block projectiles but also with a slam from his own fists can create massive shockwaves like a domino effect if he sets them up. He can also encrust his body with obsidian armor to protect himself and deflect projectile attacks, can charge his Obsidian Knuckles with a heated effect that sets off bursts of energy with every hit with an increase force and damage. He can hit the ground to encase others in obsidian from the ground and like previously stated, can turn into a obsidian boulder to crash through enemies and obstacles. But his greatest power is his Obsidian Titan, a large mass of obsidian in the shape of a fighting construct with Grant at the center, attacking far more powerfully than Grant.
~Enhanced Strength: Grants strength is further improved as his X-Genes evolve, his tremor levels of strength become stronger to ground shattering, earthquake levels.
~Enhanced Durability: Throughout the San Francisco War, Grant’s durability is phenomenal. Able to take hits and give them right back with an added healing factor of a moderate level, taking on foes like Juggernaut with ease no matter how battered and beaten Grant got.

👎Weakness
~Density Limitation: Due to such a mass change in his density, his overall weight is affected when using his powers. Using his powers in water seriously weighs him or any watercraft he traverses in so he usually avoids using them in those situations. This doesn’t affect his physical strength however, using his Obsidian Armor as a demonstration, the fat is turned into obsidian upon command and taking hits with this armor active can use up his fat tissue with each hit he takes or gives. Doing just about anything with his obsidian can use up his body fat so he must constantly eat or be at a level to where he can use his power for however long he needs it to be.
