I wouldn't be running in the river if I was running away from something like that. I'd run on the grass nearby the rocks.
This probably wont be happening because the amount of fear I would feel would overshadow any ability to make conscious and smart thoughts and I'd probably be just running anywhere to just to get away from that thing.
I don't think it's easy to make someone think such thoughts through art. Kudos djahal for achieving that, plus getting the favorite from me.

If he is running with the flow I can see it, no obstacles to dodge around and fairly predictable running surface coupled with the current pushing him along if he falls.

I am an aspiring concept artist, and I am having quite a deal of trouble finding videos or instructional tutorials on how to do rocks or water or even grass the way you do them... is it with a rock prefab brush or something? How do you make them?

I love this. The figure and robot adds an intriguing narrative element to the landscape, a disquiet into the scenery. Where are they going? Where have they come from? What is they're relationship? Is is hunter and hunted, or is the robot a sentinel, a guardian angel. The composition leads the viewer in along the stream brilliantly - love the way the smaller figure is in shadow while the robot is in light. Bravo.
