I know the overall tone is supposed to be dark, but you could probably lighten it a bit so it's easier to catch the detail without loosing the feel.

the placement into street category is interesting, it implies the pose and expression were found , not created by the photographer. in this case, it is definately an interesting capture and leads one to conjecture about what was happening, the lack of supportive visual cues is also intriqing. it certainly has a nice image quality about it, soft , yet adequately detailed. the expression is probably the peak of the activity.
i am thinking this is a street dancer or performer.
