Je voulais faire un effet de vieillissement du film, comme si la serie avait reellement ete faite sur 80 ans...

Merci, Marco.Β

Life should be like that more often.

Still the abundant light that made the picture, also takes it away.

Thanks, Eric. Yes, it should be like that. But I see that this image fades already.

i like how the lesser saturation and greater exposure gives a bigger feeling of age to the first picture - the sun bleached family treasured photograph

Yes, exactly what I was trying to imply here. I wonder how the analog version will look like.

Beautiful and unique, JD. I love the washed out colors, the rather barren landscape and the simple setting. There's also a certain roughness where details get lost, but that actually adds to the charm of this work.

One critiscism: you forgot to introduce the lovely and pretty lady here.

djailledie In reply to EyeDance [2010-09-02 04:52:11 +0000 UTC]

Thanks (You will have to tell me your name, one time!).
I thout that memories were washed like that.
That expecting mother - well hopefully not in real life - is my daughter Lena.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EyeDance In reply to djailledie [2010-09-02 20:41:34 +0000 UTC]

I can understand that you're a bit apprehensive by the thought of your daughter being an expecting mother already. In this enlightened times, it would be a waste of her talents and individual wishes to be tied down by such serious business already.

My respect to Lena, she acted beautifully here.

And my name is Bruno - a name I'm not really comfortable with. Why this should be so, I can't really say. Maybe because in music and movies, all the Brunos never play an uplifting part. For example, in one of Konstantin Weckers songs he sings: "It's only Bruno who finds them all ok, but he's drunk himself into oblivion a long time ago already". Not very comforting. Or think of Sacha Baron Cohens gay Bruno. Makes me cringe. There are lots more of depressing examples. But then, we have been eight kids, and my parents may have found that to come up with meaningful names for all of us is too troublesome.

djailledie In reply to EyeDance [2010-09-03 04:35:43 +0000 UTC]

A friend of mine got a baby when she was sixteen, and became a pharmacist after that. But that's quite uncommon, even nowdays.
Well, that first name does not come with a particular meaning in French speaking countries. I haven't seen the Baron Cohens movie. I laughed my ass off in Borat, finding that this movie was gross, but also interesting when you scratched behind the first layer of practical jokes.

Once you deemphasize the colour, it seems you have very nice texture and flow going on in the vegetation. I don't know if this is part of your plan, but so far it works for me.
