Eventually, she will grow out of her obsession as any girl in a crush should. She will have new experiences and expand her horizons. And if her feelings for him were real, and they proof to be deeper than anyone thought, she will –eventually- find her way back to him.

Eventually, he will notice that she isn’t the same annoying girl that used to pursue him. He will notice that she isn’t simply his friend, that she can be something more. Then he will notice that she had become a beautiful woman, and will notice that others are aware of that. Eventually, he will sort out his feelings, and he will muster the courage to act according to them
