Well I covered the 2008 Eastern Synchronized Figure Skating Sectional Championships last weekend in Richmond, VA. Here are some images out of the 12000 that I took.Related content

no offense but do you guys have like brown tape over your skates? haha, i miss synchro! my old team are national gold medalists, and we set a provincial record, but i quit so i could focus more on singles.

I know! And since I'm not doing all that great in the regular figure skating lessons (freestyle 5 and not moving....result of half-hour group classes) I think I'd do a lot better with a team and not having to attempt axel and fall on my knees.

is ur mom convinced you are going to the olympics as an individual? if that's not the case, then i can KINDA understand. synchro is pretty expensive especially if you travel, but if u just start on a local team, you can work your way up with them. have you taken any moves in the field tests? you could get a private coach to help get you started on them. moves do not require jumps at all, and depending how competitive you want to be with synchro, they are very important. did u mention the SCHOLARSHIP to her?

Weeeeelll......it's more like she and I both know that I won't get anywhere in skating. Because I know I really don't have a chance of even placing in a normal competition, let alone the Olympics, and then you factor in the fact that I'm only a freestyle five girl that's been in FS5 for over a year, because my rink's retarded and we only have half an hour.
Yeah, exactly! I mean, about moves in the field and stuff like that. No, I haven't taken any tests...and I wish I could get a private coach..but I doubt we have enough money for that :/
And theeeeeeeen...she said no to synchro partially because we didn't have enough money D: D:
