I am hoping to start a series of airborne ships with this as the first.It is a small private merchant ship with very limited technology. It uses a low yield, shielded helium balloon for lift and a wheel drive for propulsion. It isn't as slow as it looks however, its light weight allow for a fairly efficient and strong attainable top speed. Obviously the heavy cargo's get charged more because it slows the ship down. It is equipped with a medium weight harpoon to fend off large aerial predators.
Most modern airships of this time use either counter-grav plates or density compressors to enhance the "weight" of the air immediately around the balloon to give it more lift. No such technologies are applied in this craft though.

Such talent. :3 Though on a critical note i think the majority of the bagged gas should reside over the rear, the denser and heavier chunk of the ship, to retain perfect balance.

Shtirmvult airships are built with a baloon, but they're built into a rigid shell to help protect it from the storms of their homelands and from attack. New designs came later on in development, but your ship here reminds me alot of Shtirmvult. I miss that place now...

That's cool. I plan on drawing more advanced ships within this same universe at some point. I designed this as the lowest of technologies in the universe it is in. You are right there is no protection for this ship, storms, enemies or predators, but I figured there has to be poor merchants as well.
