DON'T EVER DRAW GORGES! And yes, this took forever. I think collectivly, 6 or 7 hours over 2 days.
This picture started cause said I should draw Sarabi then it all blew out of control on this one. so blame her haha.

This is just like what Mufasa said to Simba before his death: "When we die, we become the grass." I'm getting teary-eyed. It fits what Mufasa was explaining and I love the flower. Sarabi looks so happy, yet of course she's sad. Its pretty.

words cannot express the pain and sorrow of this picture..... yes te bitter happiness of it all sugar coating hte out side. you captured the scene very well, and i believe sarabi does visit often, because true love never dies, though the pain of separation rivals it almost completly....

It's always kinda frustrating when things happen in movies and not much information is poured into those events, such as what some of the character(s) thought or did when they found out some devastating news, but i'm glad artists like you are able to give us a look into the unmentioned things using the same style, thus making it look like it was actually a part in the film.

Wow its just beautiful! Everyone only thinks of Simba's feelings after Mufasa's death, not Sarabi's. It was even more tragic for her, thinking she lost her mate and son on the same day.
