i did draw this by hand but its kind of been over taken by photoshop filters
i think the next few pictures i submit will be greatly influence by the soundtrack to Howls Moving Castle - it brings all sorts of emotions to you.
this time its Claudia on an old fashioned merry-go-round - they weren't very high up so you could just stand on the bars and it would go round at a happy pace. although in the picture i wanted to make it look like she was in the clouds.

This pic is candy-like.. o,o It's probably the pinkynes in it that makes it look like candy..
It's not bad though. It's actually nice! And makes this beautiful! Childish too, which I think suits this picture.
I also like that old-fashioned merry-go-around thingy. ^^ It looks way more interesting than those we have now a days.. <<

i saw this and i thought, oh dear. you seam to no longer do dark pieces, so i checked through your gallery (in browse mode to see them from time released) and sure enough most of your recent works have lacked darkness. but i continued searching and i mean what the hell? theres so much stuff i missed, i see some pieces ive seen before and remember and like next to them are pieces i never saw and don't recall in the slightest but are so cool. its kinda weird. anyways im off to fav have your gallery
but don't let that distract you from the original purpose of this message, i want the old Pandora back

I know you're trying to be very nice about this, but you basically just accused Pan of selling out, and no matter how politely you say that, it's rather rude. I know my friends, and Pan doesn't draw anything to please other people unless that picture was a gift or request. No one wants to be pidgeon-holed in their artwork, and honestly, looking at a black page constantly would be really boring and depressing. I know from experience that an audience expects the artist to be consistant... I draw a lot of really cutesy, pastel-colored pictures, and if I occasionally upload something a bit less happy, people start to wonder about me. I think it's really brave of Pandora to post something different than expected, because let's face it.. If she drew absolutely nothing but the dark, gloomy stuff just because it's "what the audience wants", then that's when she would be holding her real self back.
I'm not trying to start a fight with you, but I am compelled to stand up for my friends because they always do the same for me

i don't think i've ever purposely veered off my dark art to please another person. i will occasionally do something lighthearted with a specific person in mind - but that does not mean i'm not going to continue doing what i love. The reason why there has been a lack of dark art is because a lot of my dark stuff takes longer to do than what i have been doing recently.
Music influences a lot in what i do - if i listen to happy music (like the influence of this piece) then the picture will usually reflect that. i've been listening to a lot of soundtrack music which is either thoughtful or happy (such as Howls Moving Castle) i'am currently doing some more dark stuff but i don't know when i will be happy to show it (i'm such a perfectionist).

Photoshop filters are your friends... Just repeat that over and over any time you feel that you've overused them in a picture 
Claudia's face is so cute~ *_* I think this is the most age-appropriate she's looked overall.. Cos, sometimes, ya know, her body looks 12 but her face looks five years older. Um, not that I'm some expert on drawing children (or an expert at drawing, period

XD i know what you mean - its because i need practise in drawing children more - shes the youngest one i've ever drawn and i know i should be a bit better at it because i draw her repeatedly but its still hard. i think i draw her eyes to big sometimes - i don't know what it is i do to make her look older actually - but i can put it down to the confusion in her spirit as to why she is not aging
i think it became creepy to me once i played Silent Hill - although its always had that kind of strangeness hidden in it.

It's not like you suck at drawing her, come on now. You know that. I think Claudia ends up looking older at times because you're so detailed in your drawings. I think whenever there's more detail put into a character's face, they tend to look older. Your drawings also lean more towards realism than cartoon, so I think that's part of the reason too. I think it's way easier to draw little kids in a cartoony style cos then you can stylize the living hell out of their features

I have a cousin who went to school for graphic design, and she thinks drawings cartoons is so difficult. I guess it's just whatever you're used it. Your chibis are so proportional
