"Children... I'am taking you to your Aunt Iris... she will look after you until further notice... i'am beginning to tire of the deaths of your guardians that we seem to be collecting" Mr Poe sighed as he drove leisurely. The Baudelaire siblings looked at each other with knowing gaze - if only Mr Poe's misted mind opened up to the causes of the deaths.
The small group entered into a dark encampment of trees, colours of indigo, blue and black. Violet gazed out of the car window and noticed a silvery stream running at the side of the road, small fish darted about in its lapping waters.
Finally they reached a large tree that was surrounded by a lake, the water similarly silvery.
"come on, come on, i cannot stay about hauling you three house to house" Mr Poe irritably grumbled as he pulled out the orphans bags and gave them to Violet and Klaus,
"House?" Klaus questioned, looking about them, he saw no house in the dense forests nor any lights to suggest a road to someones home.
"Yes child" Mr Poe replied tiredly, he beckoned the children to follow him, stopping as they got to the lake, a cobblestone path led the way to the large tree and Klaus suddenly saw complex and strange windows in the wood, his eyes widened at the strange fish that swam in the lake.

Mr Poe reached for what appeared to be a phone that was attached to a twisted metal table,
"ahem, Miss Emnya?" Mr Poe spoke into the phone, holding the phone like it may bite his cheek,
"Emnya?" Klaus looked to Violet who shrugged, Sunny looked equally confused, They heard what sounded to be a cat on the other end of the phone, Mr Poe jumped,
"Hello? Hello? Arcemidis will you move away from the phone!.. ahem, hello?" A womans voice spoke quickly back to the group, she sounded slightly foreign.
"Yes, well, I'am Mr Poe, we spoke earlier today"
"Oh yes.. you have the children?" The woman replied,
"Yes, yes i do, shall i-" Mr Poe was cut off,
"Brilliant! Wait there" The woman put the phone down, Mr Poe grunted and put the phone back on its black table. The children waited, hearing the strange song of birds within the thick wood of the tree.
Suddenly a door opened at the front of the tree and a pale woman came from within the lighted insides of the trunk, She walked quickly to the group, flicking her hair away from her face. A strange grey cat, black crow and a small red bird accompanied her. She wore red, black and grey elizabethan style clothing with many trickets attached in various places. What was stranger was the appearance of a branch like headdress that was attached in her hair, the red bird sat upon on of the twisted limbs, cleaning its feathers.
The woman came up to the party a blacklined smile on her lips,
"Hello, you must be the Baudelaires" Her voice sounded Romanian, slow and languid.
"Yes, i'm Violet... this is Klaus and Sunny" She pointed to her siblings as she spoke their names,
"aaah, beautiful you children are" she stroked Sunnys hair as the young child outstretched her hand to the two tailed cat that perched on the ladies shoulder, "you like Arcemedi's? He does love to play with children" the cat meowed and nuzzled into Sunnys hand.
"Well children, i must leave now..." Mr Poe looked at the woman, slightly concerned about the appearence of the woman, her clothes taking on an almost pirate'ish style, "Children, contact me anytime you like...".
The woman smiled and waved as Mr Poe got into his car, she then looked back at the children,
"Well.. i'am your Auntie Iris Emnya" She giggled, "A mouthful i know, you can just call me Iris"

As soon as i read A Series of Unfortunate Events i fell in love with it... and even more so when it became a film =^-^= pity not all the characters were in the film.. i hope they make another one.

I think it was last year i created Iris Emnya.. a very crude drawing at the time lol.. but i've developed her since then. She has a strange infactuation with birds and has one cat called Arcemedis.

She comes from Romania... that is where she met the Baudelaires parents.

anyway.. to much description lol.
