I have known a couple who were genuinely good people, but it is the majority that I dislike.
You did say it was rude, but of all the followers of a certain political view it is these who do the most finger pointing and name calling.

Anyone who sees a generalized negative statement about a group you belong to is going to consider it rude. I don't think anyone finger points more than the other. Politics is just a fancy word for playground bullying and childish attitudes.
