oh my.. that is hauntingly beautiful. and weirdly similar to some of the shots i took last week. btw, whats an IR filter? sounds expensive. is your cam digital or film?

Thanks, Kat. Glad you liked it. Infra-red is the IR of which I speak. It was kind of expensive when a normal filter runs about $5, it cost $40. It's totally black and only lets in the infra red wavelength. I used my digital camera for this shot and took about a 1.5 - 2 second exposure on a tripod..

Looks ashen and otherworldly, great idea with the IR I especially like the perspective that's crossed horizontally by the tree shadows. That road could lead anywhere...

I really like the IR aspect and the enhancement of the shadows, interesting effects, very surreal...lovely.

Interesting IR shot, especially since it doesn't really look like one. And that's cool, because it actually really enhances the title of the piece.
I like the horizontal shades the trees throw on the road and how that road gently curves out of the frame.

Ahhh, very nice. Not the standard b&w with high contrast. I like the nice blend of grays through this photo. I think the title fits very well.

I like the lines in this. The shadows are interesting. I would have liked to have seen a little more focus though.
