Description One night I had a dream. I was walking along a road in the countryside, and my wife walked further ahead, when suddenly my old orchestra teacher came up beside me. "Nice ping-pong balls!" he said, nudged me, winked and disappeared like they do in dreams. Further down the road my trumpet teacher joined me, glanced at my wife and said half to me, half to himself: "You've got a treasure there." Also nudging me, and mumbling something about pingpongballs. I only had eyes for her ass, but I agreed. Then the world dissolved and I woke upΒ Β to the gloom of our bedroom. I turned over to look at my treasure. "Nice pingpongballs" I thought, not knowing why, before blinking back into sleep.

Maybe that's why they're so hard to remember long after you woke up. The more you try to comprehend it with "awake" logic thinking the more the dream-logic deteriorates, and the memories with it.

My teacher was from Gothenburg and spoke with a very distinct accent. Can still hear him say it in my mind, though I'm afraid it will never be known what he really meant.

Last night, I was a fighter pilot flying a F-4 Phantom, playing tag with a Russian MIG. We both had to bail out, over water. The Russian pilot would have drowned had I not saved him. Then we swam to shore and walked into town. Don't ask me, I have no idea. Never had a dream like it.
