As the ship's prow broke through the woollen clouds, a sea of icy sky blue stretched out before them. It had been so long since Contrail had run the clean air of Baltimare sky through his nostrils.
"Take the helm, Backfire.", he said to his grey counterpart. The pony acknowledged and casually took the wheel as Contrail stepped down to the deck.
"Are we there yet?" asked a golden yellow pony peering eagerly over the ship's beam at the green fields below. Contrail gave a subtle nod with his eyes as he hopped up onto the gilded bow of his airship. The strong winds brought by the altitude brushed through his feathers as the blue pegasus inhaled a great gulp of the chilled air. He opened his wings with a slight grin and called back to the others,
"Hold her steady lads, I'm off to reacquaint myself"

Tired at the moment though, so I'm sorry if the picture story is a little bland.

Finally been able to give you this, I would've posted it before I left but I wasnt happy with it so I worked on it over my holiday. Hope you like it, I thought it may give a few further hints to Contrail's origins.
