Description This particular Rose was cropped on the right side.... to take out unwanted leaves. I was going for more of an Ambrotype foto. I have always loved the effect their portraits had back then.

[Ambrotype is the foto effect in the 1850's]

Comments and suggestions are welcome as this is an effect that I am experimenting with. Thank you.

i love how this worked out! also with the rose open the way it is almost makes it look like one of those alabaster carved cups with the way the light is shining through the petals. wonderfully done!!
