I love the way you've been experimenting with different styles and really pushing yourself lately. (I'm still waiting for the original stuff, since Slayers isn't my thing). I think this pic is really striking, even from the thumbnail you could see the nice movement created by the use of dull and bright colours contrasting each other. I think the most successful part is in the upper-ish left where the fabric flows away. I don't mind the colour of his hair, but it might be how solid it is or the size of the brush strokes for details, but that aspect does feel like it could be a bit less heavy. Overall, really nice work!

I'm actually working on that..the hair thing. There is this new technique I'm trying out and I'm yet to land on what I feel is working for me but I'll get there. HAVE NO FEAR! And yeah, I am working a lot with style, composition, everything. Trying to make my overall sketching stronger and doing a series of sketches for each piece so it feels better and more compelling.

As for the original stuff I have a cover and a few pages done already of chapter one but I have to have a fair amount finished before I post it up so I AM working on that. ^^

keep going! It's actually rather inspiring to see your progress. As you know from being around DA for a while, sometimes people make announcements that they're going to work hard and improve, but you really have stuck to that and the results show :3

Wow, looks great. And yeah he does seem rather ignored despite how interesting he is. I wish they used more of him in the anime.
