Was playing around with terragen yesterday and got a good scene so i renderd it. hope you all like it
comments and favs appreciated.

a really nice piece you have here.
obviously the focal point in the way of the sun and reflection works perfectly. perhaps the area around the sun could be a little more orange as it is lower in the sky, still it works great. I love the purple colours along the horizon of this, which merge into a very grey pinky orange towards the top, it looks like you have spent alot of time working on atmospheres. and i totally love your clouds.. so nice to see clouds that dont like the default terragen clouds.
to the water. The sparkling of the sun is great. i cant say i've ever seen it in a terragen piece before, but now that i have i think its wonderful. i think maybe the contrast of the light reflection is a little high in respect to the sun colour, but it doesnt take anything away from it really.
a very nice terrain you made there, can't fault that.
One last problem seems to be the lightness of your shadows, considering the sun is that low in the sky, some of your bare faced rocks, which are in shaddow still seem a bit bright, i always find it a pain when making sunsets, as you have to compromise your beautiful surface layers.

How did you get the far away mountains?
Did you made the terrain with a different program then terragen or did you used a existing terrain? (ref. those shallow water parts, really awsome)

I'm lovin the water. I love how the whole image has such an inviting feeling. I think the blue in the distence and away from the sun really makes it look colder... which contrasts the rest. I don't really like that, but i'm sure lots of people might.

The sand looks great. It doesnt' look like a sea but a water-logged plane of sand thats reflecting the light.
However, the clouds go on into the distance ....flat. That is to say in the real world the curviture of the earth makes the cloud further away look rather different. Its a common mistake that renders do. They forget just how significant the curviture of the earth is on the view we see. if you are on completly flat soil...then with a height of average human, you can only see about 2 kilometers.

Very nice, although the sea is a little too sharp. However, don't smooth all of it, as the sharpness of the land fits perfectly.
