This picture may remind some viewers of another picture, especially those that frequent the Western Civilization board. That is very much intentional.

Some time ago fellow artist Hypercat posted a picture from an illustrated novel on the board. The pic was if five girls tied up and wouldn't have been out-of-the ordinary, except that it reminded me a lot of the more innocent, Saturday morning cartoon bondage and distress that made me into the weirdo I am today.

Basically, it made me feel rather nostalgic and I decided to scratch that particular itch by doing my own version here. I didn't want to use any of my characters and I had a tough time thinking of who to draw for this. I kept thinking of the harmless fluff simmilar to the toons of my youth when, surprise, "K-On!" came to mind. I had said a long ways back that I wanted to do a pic with the entire group one day and this provided ample opportunity. The outfit's here are inspired by a number of late 80s and early 90s bands and fashions. IMO those times were really the best for bands, live shows and tours.

All-in-all, this isn't the most interesting or skillful work I've done, but it did a good job of capturing, (heh,) the feel of the days before I really understood what a fetish was. And that's what I was really hoping for here anyway...
