We all need our down-to-earths and our far-out-there's.
We all need our closest trustees, and our distance just for fun.
We all need support and love in their many forms, and a balance of rebellion and conformity.
Life is too complicated to think of all of these things at once, but that is why we have so much time to think and so many places to think it.  So whenever you are thinking that you are lacking something in your life, have comfort in the likelihood that you have all that you need of something else.  It is truly rare for a life to be entirely deficient of joy when there are so many different places where these necessities can be found.  And when we find ourselves in any one place, we all have a tendency to forget about another...
