I've always loved Lupin, he's a favorite of mine. Never fangirled over him, but I would totally want him to be, like, my uncle or adult-friend or something. How awesome would it be to say my uncle was a werewolf?!

Hahahahaa I love you ! I know it's hard to deal with girls that call Jacob a "real" werewolf haha. But I'm a Jacob fan, and although I know he really is a shapeshifter, it's just a lot easier to call him a werewolf because I have to type less and it's just an easier word to use to describe him XD. That's my reason, but I understand what you mean.
And having Remus as an uncle/godfather or something would be stellar! Even if he wasn't a werewolf, his personality and wisdoma is just great. And I'd get pounds of chocolate every time he'd come to visit .

Yes, in Breaking Dawn the Volturi state that they are something akin to Shapeshifters, as the one had previously hunted down all the true werewolves.
