After blood moon ball there really isn't any other choice but to put Star and Marco together, it binds them together for eternity, if this is true, going against that could have consequences like disease could kill them, both or it can doom them both to die, we saw it in Bon, Bon the Birthday Clown, Marco kissed Jackie and the moon immediately lit up as like it was some kind of warning, or the curse has already been put on Marco. I predict that if the two don't become canon by the end of season 3 something bad will happen to Marco or Star, and that might be the next big struggle they face.
