Description
It was a normal day in Dreamland.
Kirby didn't really have anything to do, so he lied down under a tree.
He was looking up at the sky, wearing his usual enthusiastic smile, watching clouds pass by.
Then suddenly, he heard something beside him, he turned around to see who it was... Metaknight? He wasn't wearing his mask, either! Apparently, Kirby hadn't really noticed him before because right now he was lying next to him.
"Why isn't Metaknight wearing his mask?" Kirby asked. Metaknight ALWAYS wore his mask.
"I see no reason to." He began. "It's a beautiful day and I'm not expecting to fight anyone."
"Oh.." Kirby lied back down, he didn't bother to question why Metaknight was lying beside him, he just pushed the thought away and continued looking at the clouds.
"The sky looks beautiful, doesn't it?" Metaknight said.
Kirby agreed with a short nod. Kirby was having a lazy moment, nothing could really bother him right now. "Kirby thinks Metaknight has a soft spot for clouds..." Kirby said in his normal tone, not changing his gaze.
"Soft spot?!" Metaknight asked in fury.
"I have no soft spots! I am Metaknight, Defender of-" Suddenly a huge glob of water splashed in his face. Kirby had swallowed some water and spat it out at him in the middle of his sentence. Kirby was rolling around, laughing at the wet metaknight "More like WETaknight!" Kirby said, still laughing.
Metaknight twitched a bit in annoyance, but didn't let anger get in the way of this moment. It was a good day, he wwouldn't let Kirby ruin it, so he merely agreed witth him.
"Yes... I suppose your right" He started. "I DO have a soft spot for clouds..."
He finished, lying back down beside Kirby. Metaknight didn't lay beside Kirby for no reason, though. He was going to do something he'd planned for a long time now. He decided to wait until the time was right, but he wasn't going to let it slip away from him from such a perfect moment like this.
Kirby began to doze off to sleep. Damnit! Metaknight thought. Kirby was sleeping, now.
He sighed. Metaknight went over and kissed his head. That was the least he could do for now...
He'll still be here when he wakes up, Metaknight thought. Then I could tell him...

A few hours had passed. Metaknight ended up falling asleep on Kirby, not wanting to leave his side. Good thing Metaknight was a light sleeper, unlike Kirby, who could sleep for days without bothering to be woken.
Suddenly, Kirby started to stir awake. Metaknight quickly got off of Kirby before he could
fully awaken himself. When he did, he yawned.
Kirby looked around and saw Metaknight still there.
What is he still doing here? Kirby thought.
"Why are you-" He was shortly cut off by a kiss.
This made Kirby turn really red.
Kirby tried to push Metaknight away, but he was too strong. Far too strong for the innocent pink puffball.
Metaknight ended the kiss. "Kirby, I love you." He said. He couldn't hide his feelings anymore. It was unbearable. Ever since the day Kirby kicked his ass, he gained respect for him, but he found himself attracted to him not too long after.
He'd hid it for far too long. It felt so good to let his feelings flow out for once.
Kirby had been pretty much stunned, almost mistaken for a statue.
He shook himself. "You what?!"
"You heard me..." Metaknight said, sounding a little disappointed in his reaction.
He fell to the ground. Kirby was cuddling him.
"I love you, too Metaknight..." Kirby said.
Metaknight was blushing.
He thought he was dreaming, most of his dreams ended like this, but he wasn't.
This was real...
"C'mon, let's go get a bite to eat" Kirby said happily, grabbing Metaknight's wrist and dragging him with him.
