The PDCL arc was such a fun time in the Schlockiverse.
I definitely wanted the annie plants to have a little more "jazz" to them. It's mostly because what looks good in a comic strip doesn't necessarily work well in my own style - so, I gussied 'em up a bit.

Howard Tayler has a good sense of the workable-yet-unconventional. "Petey" is one of his best ship designs, I think.
