The prompt for this sword was "Antler".

The Mangled Beauty's name is very much as litteral as it gets. Indeed, for some yet unknown reasons, a crystal beetle was turned into a weapon, still very much conscious and alive.

Of course, such a transformation leaves marks, and for this unfortunate insect, it manifested itself in the spontenaous production of a cyan acid, that the animal continuously drools when it feels threatened.

The owner of this blade is a young boy, who found it wiggling around in the forest, trying to function as it used to, to no avail.
As soon as the boy's hands touched the blade's handle, a link was formed between the two beings.

The boy saw suffering, confusion, and dismay.

The beetle saw amazement, hope, and a willingness to help.

And thus, this odd duo set off to try and bring back the insect to its original body.
