I made one for my older brother. We grew up basically on Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. We are very close. He moved away and join the US Air-force and is states away ;_; I miss him so much but we talk on the phone time to time...
here's a link to the picture of it.

I want to try and make a pair of these and give one as a Valentine's Day gift to the girl I love >//< shush..no mushy stuff. She's just a really close friend, but I've had feelings for her for the past 5 years but for now we don't want to change the relationship we have, so, I thought maybe this would be a great gift for her. (Wish I could find a tutorial for a split Origami Papou fruit like this.)

I did the exact same thing with my best friend, we love kingdom hearts and we still have ours even though it's been so long. I am so glad you enjoyed the design XD

These instructions aren't very clear to me. I got to step 6 and 7 with some struggling. The diagrams could be improved, and if you're using a certain base for this craft, it'd be helpful to say somewhere towards the beginning that a certain base is going to be needed first. The written instructions could be improved upon a little bit (for instance, checking for spelling). Measurements of the paper would be helpful, too.

well it helps if you have some kind of base knowledge of origami, i mean that what i assume when people go into a craft. usually when one does origami you use a square piece of paper, beginners usually know that. as for spelling and grammar im not entering this into an essay contest, it is instructions for origami. its a variation from the bird base, beginners usually know that too.

Yes, but I didn't even know it was a variation on the bird base until I was more than halfway into making it. Had I known it was supposed to be the bird base, I'd have made it a lot easier and with much fewer mistakes. I know that origami uses square paper most of the time, but I was just curious as to what size square produces what size charm. For instance, I found that 4x4 in. squares makes a small charm.

the steps clearly illustrate a bird base, as for future reference my advice is to look through the directions before attempting something. as for the size, now you know.

i adore thiss!
your instructions are actually VERY clear, i got it on the first try but it took a couple of tries before i got the perfect star hole formed in the center =] i made one and gave it to my mom for mother's day ^^
umm i was just wondering, my school is having a cultural fair soon, and it's a fundraiser to raise money to buy food for asian countries since the price of rice has been going up lately, so it's a non-profit event. do you mind if i make oathkeepers using this tutorial? i'll tell everyone who asks that i got it from you =] i'll give them your dA username and link and everything ^^ so, is it alright?

yeah, after step you use the two loose flaps shown in step 6 and fold them as shown, the directions to do that are in step 7. thank you so much for the admiration of my work and its originality.

It's not very clear... I don't really get 5, 6, 7 (then again, I've never done origami things). What's going on? It looks like it turned back to the same shape.

ok what you do is after 5, unfold the fold you did in 4 and bring the pointier triangle towards the shorter one, when you do this, this is were your guide fold comes in, use that and the folds you did in 4 to make an equal sided diamond, then after you bring the flap you just made back down, you should have a solid diamond shape instead of the one with the folds in 4, i can see how someone who hasnt done origami can have trouble with this, i had trouble with it too, when i first started out = ), if you still dont understand here is a link that helped me with this fold: [link]
My apologies for the confusion, thank you for ur honest feedback!

Oh wow~! I love this! I always wanted a tutorial on Kingdom Hearts origami! (Personally, I want one that teaches you how to make the keyblade or heartless, but that would be a bit complicated wouldn't it?)
