Another piece of Monday Night Combat fanart here, and this one's a flashy one. In a crossover between Penny Arcade and Monday Night Combat, Cardboard Tube Samurai gear was added for the assassin. And thus, this piece was born. Taking inspiration from a range of sources - including Samurai Jack! - I eventually got to this result.
It took a lot of work, but the result is pretty exciting, I think!
Big thanks to ~Vixen9 for helping with the composition and postwork.

It took a pretty long time, actually - I can't tell you how many hours it took exactly, but I was working on it on and off over 2 or 3 weeks at least. Most of the time was probably spent making sure that the composition and colour scheme were right and working out how I was going to colour it (cel shaded or digitally painted), as well as actually putting the lineart together from my sketches and fixing mistakes! The shading process and background/foreground work actually took the least time.
That said, I'm pretty slow in comparison to more experienced artists. XD
